The Northrop F-5 is a family of supersonif light fighters that have existed since the end of the 1950s.
The first variants, F-5A (single-seater) & F-5B (two-seater) "Freedom Fighter" had its first flight in July 30th, 1959.
The most used variant, the F-5E (single-seater) and F-5B (two-seater" "Tiger II", has its first flight in August 11th, 1972.
The F-5 is still one of the most used combat aircrafts in the world today.
